Yes, fillers that are used in the lips can be removed using hyaluronidase (Hylenex). This allows for us to remove any old filler that has either migrated to an area we do not want it to be or filler that has formed bumps (nodules). After the dissolving is done we recommend waiting 4-6 weeks to add more filler. That way your body has fully metabolized the enzyme and your lips can now properly hold the new filler. This 2 step process includes first dissolving the old filler then 4-6 weeks later giving you ICON Signature Lips.

After lip filler injections, some swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site are normal. These effects usually resolve within a few days.
